1. Agreement to these terms

By using this website, making an enquiry, booking a court, enrolling in coaching, attending a session, entering a program, or allowing a child or dependant to participate, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you should not use the website, book a service, or participate in Centre Court Tennis activities.

References to "Centre Court Tennis", "we", "us" and "our" mean the Centre Court Tennis coaching business and its coaches, contractors, assistants and authorised representatives. References to "you" include players, parents, guardians, spectators, website users and anyone attending a venue for a Centre Court Tennis activity.

These terms are intended to be practical rules for tennis participation. They do not exclude any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.

2. Website use

The website is provided for general information about our coaching, court locations, contact options and tennis programs. We try to keep information accurate, but program details, locations, availability, coaches, prices, session times and booking links may change without notice.

  • You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape it in a way that disrupts availability, or interfere with normal operation.
  • Content on the website, including copy, layout, graphics, photos, logos and design elements, is owned by or licensed to Centre Court Tennis unless otherwise stated.
  • You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not reproduce, modify or commercially exploit website content without written permission.
  • External links, including booking platforms or social platforms, are provided for convenience. Their own terms, privacy practices, fees and technical availability apply.

3. Bookings, enrolments and payments

Bookings may be made directly with us, through a booking platform, by phone, by message, or through another approved channel. A booking is not confirmed until we or the relevant booking platform confirms the booking or enrolment.

  • You are responsible for checking the date, time, location, player details, level, program type and any court booking conditions before attending.
  • Fees must be paid by the due date stated by us or the booking platform. Late or unpaid fees may result in suspension of participation or cancellation of a place.
  • Prices may vary by coach, program, location, court availability, term length, public holidays, tournament commitments and seasonal scheduling.
  • Where a third-party platform processes payment or court booking, that platform may apply separate payment, refund, cancellation or service-fee terms.
  • You must not transfer a paid place, lesson, court booking, credit or package to another person without our approval.

4. Coaching, squads and tennis programs

Centre Court Tennis offers tennis coaching and development programs that may include private lessons, semi-private lessons, group lessons, squads, junior development pathways, adult sessions, school holiday activities and match-play opportunities.

  • We may group players by age, standard, experience, behaviour, safety requirements, court space and coach judgement.
  • Coach assignments, session structures, player groupings and drills may change to suit attendance, development needs, court conditions, safety and operational requirements.
  • Progression between groups or squads is at our discretion and may depend on technical ability, rally tolerance, tactical awareness, maturity, fitness, attendance, match readiness and coachability.
  • Private and semi-private lessons require punctual arrival. Late arrival does not automatically extend the session where another booking or coach commitment follows.
  • Squad and group sessions are shared learning environments. Individual attention will vary according to group size, drill design and session objectives.
  • We may decline, pause or end participation where a program is not suitable for the player or where conduct creates risk for coaches, players or venues.

5. Participants, parents and guardians

Parents and guardians are responsible for providing accurate information about junior participants, including age, emergency contacts, relevant medical conditions, allergies, injuries, behavioural needs and any court-side supervision requirements.

  • Junior players must be dropped off and collected on time. Coaches are not responsible for extended supervision before or after scheduled session times unless expressly agreed.
  • Parents and guardians should remain contactable during junior sessions and must be available to collect a child promptly if illness, injury, behaviour or weather requires it.
  • Players must bring suitable tennis shoes, water, sun protection and any required personal medication such as asthma medication or allergy treatment.
  • Players should attend ready to participate safely. Do not attend if unwell, infectious, injured in a way that makes tennis unsafe, or medically advised not to play.
  • Any player with a medical condition that may affect participation should seek appropriate medical advice before playing and tell us before the session starts.

6. Tennis safety and inherent risks

Tennis is a physical sport. Participation involves inherent risks including slips, trips, falls, muscle strains, overuse injuries, impact from balls or racquets, collision with players or fixtures, heat stress, dehydration and aggravation of existing injuries.

  • Players must follow coach instructions, warm-up directions, court movement rules, ball collection instructions and safety calls.
  • Players must maintain awareness of surrounding courts, stray balls, wet patches, uneven surfaces, fencing, nets, posts, benches and other venue features.
  • Racquets must be used only for tennis activity. Throwing racquets, hitting balls dangerously, swinging near another person, or deliberately striking fixtures is not permitted.
  • Players must not enter another active court, run behind a player during a rally, or retrieve balls from another court without checking it is safe.
  • We may stop or modify play because of heat, lightning, rain, smoke, surface condition, crowding, injury risk, player fatigue or any other safety concern.
  • You acknowledge that coaching can reduce risk but cannot remove every risk connected with sport, movement, venues, weather and player behaviour.

7. Conduct, respect and venue behaviour

Centre Court Tennis expects respectful behaviour from players, parents, guardians, spectators and coaches. Tennis should be competitive, disciplined and safe.

  • Abuse, bullying, harassment, intimidation, discriminatory language, unsafe play, repeated disruption, aggressive behaviour or disrespect toward coaches, opponents, players, parents or venue staff is not accepted.
  • Players must respect calls, scoring rules, coach decisions, court allocations, equipment and the learning environment.
  • Parents and spectators must not interfere with coaching, enter courts without permission, give conflicting instructions during coached drills, or pressure players in a way that disrupts the session.
  • We may issue warnings, require a person to leave, suspend participation, cancel enrolment, refuse future bookings or report serious behaviour to the relevant venue or authority.
  • Damage to equipment, courts, nets, fences, clubhouse areas, booking systems or venue property may be charged to the responsible person or guardian.

8. Weather, cancellations, make-ups and refunds

Tennis is affected by rain, heat, wind, lightning, smoke, court condition and venue availability. We will make practical decisions based on safety, court playability, forecasts, local conditions and the nature of the session.

  • Do not assume a session is cancelled unless we notify you or the booking platform shows cancellation. Weather can differ between venues.
  • Where a session is cancelled by us before play because of unsafe or unplayable conditions, we may offer a make-up, credit, reschedule or refund depending on the program type and circumstances.
  • Where a session starts and is later affected by weather, the available remedy may depend on time played, court costs, coach time, venue policy and booking platform rules.
  • Player absence, change of mind, traffic, forgotten equipment, late arrival, illness without sufficient notice, or scheduling conflict does not automatically create a refund or make-up entitlement.
  • Term programs, squads and group sessions may have limited make-up availability because court space, group level and coach ratios must remain safe and appropriate.
  • We may require reasonable notice for cancellations of private or semi-private lessons. Missed or late-cancelled lessons may be charged.

9. Courts, venues and facilities

Centre Court Tennis operates across multiple tennis locations. Each venue may have its own booking rules, access requirements, parking limits, lighting arrangements, clubhouse rules, council rules, facility conditions and opening hours.

  • You must follow venue signage, staff directions, court access rules, gate codes, lighting rules and any applicable council or club requirements.
  • Courts must be left tidy. Rubbish, bottles, grips, ball cans and personal items should be removed at the end of play.
  • Only appropriate tennis footwear should be worn on court. Shoes that damage the surface or create unsafe movement may be refused.
  • Pets, bikes, scooters, glass, alcohol, smoking, vaping or non-tennis activities may be restricted or prohibited by venue rules.
  • We are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property at courts, car parks, clubhouses or surrounding areas.

10. Match play, UTR, competitions and player development

Where we run or support match play, UTR-style singles, ladders, tournaments, grading, inter-club preparation or competition pathways, those activities may involve additional rules and third-party systems.

  • Players must understand the scoring format, warm-up time, code of conduct, line-calling expectations and any event rules before play starts.
  • Match results, ratings, rankings, draws and schedules may be handled by third-party platforms or event organisers. Their rules and technical systems may apply.
  • We do not guarantee a particular rating, ranking, tournament result, squad promotion, scholarship opportunity, representative selection or competitive outcome.
  • Development advice is based on coach judgement at the time. Player progress depends on attendance, effort, match play, practice volume, fitness, mindset, age, competition exposure and external factors.
  • Players may be moved, withdrawn or not accepted into a match-play format if we consider the standard, behaviour, safety risk or competitive balance unsuitable.

11. Photos, video, communication and privacy

We may communicate with you by phone, SMS, email, booking platform, website form or other practical channels about bookings, weather, scheduling, program updates and tennis services.

  • You must provide accurate contact information and tell us if important details change.
  • We may use photos or video from tennis activities for coaching feedback, safety review, website content, social media or promotional purposes where appropriate consent has been obtained or where permitted by law.
  • If you do not want yourself or your child photographed or filmed, tell us in writing before participation. We will take reasonable steps to respect that request.
  • Parents, spectators and players must not film or photograph other children in a way that is intrusive, unsafe, disruptive or inconsistent with venue or child-safety expectations.
  • Personal information is handled for practical business and program purposes, including enquiries, bookings, payments, participation, safety, emergency contact and service communication.

12. Liability, consumer guarantees and indemnity

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, statutory right or legal protection that cannot be excluded under Australian law.

  • To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage caused by your breach of these terms, failure to follow instructions, unsafe behaviour, existing medical conditions, third-party platforms, venue conditions outside our control, weather, or events beyond our reasonable control.
  • You are responsible for deciding whether you or your child is fit and able to participate in tennis activity. Seek medical advice where appropriate.
  • You agree to be responsible for loss, damage, injury, claim or expense caused by your negligent, reckless, unsafe or unlawful conduct, or by the conduct of a child or dependant under your supervision.
  • Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to the remedies permitted by law, which may include resupply of services or payment of the cost of resupply.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The updated version will apply from the date it is published on this page unless stated otherwise. Continuing to use the website, book services or participate after changes are published means you accept the updated terms.
